Hi folks,
Hoping that this email finds you in good health and spirits. I'll make it short and sweet.
1. The GOOD --
Most of you know and love Lee Baldarelli, BS, RN, Lic. Massage Therapist, and Certified Colon Hydrotherapist... Manning Chiropractic's great massage/muscle therapist. She was with me since about 1994. You may not have heard that she recently left the office in favor of venturing into her own solo operation -- ABUNDANT HEALTH -- upstairs in this same building.
Lee worked extremely hard over the last several years.. burning gallons of "midnight oil" to earn her nursing degree (top of her class!!), in addition to certification as a colon hydrotherapist. The larger space in her new setting, allows her to incorporate both modalities, and we wish her only GREAT success :) We still work closely with Lee.  She remains an integral member of our wellness team.

In fact, Lee is delivering a very informative and timely lecture next Thursday evening, Sept. 29th at 7:15,on the subject of TISSUE CLEANSING and COLON CLEANSING. All are welcome, and I am including a link to her website here... www.abundanthealingpath.com You'll find a wealth of information and some interesting links which will definitely provide much food for thought.
2. The BAD --
Yesterday, I violated one of the cardinal rules of body mechanics, and am now suffering the consequences. As I hurriedly, and awkwardly lifted a heavy object - using too much upper body, and too little legs - I felt a very unsettling "letting-go" in my right bicep. As it turns out, that was the detaching of my biceps tendon from its insertion on the radius bone at the elbow! Yup -- MRI last night revealed biceps tendon rupture. GREAT!

I had a consult today with one of the top orthopedic surgeons for this kind of injury (Dr. Deangelis at Hahnemann), and will be going under his knife on Wednesday, Sept. 28th. Best case scenario puts me back in the office in about 6-8 weeks for chiropractic work again.

As healing and rehab permit, I believe I will be able to do some lighter Applied Kinesiology kinds of work before that... things like cell detox pathway evaluation for nutritional support (chemical sniff challenges, aspirin challenge, etc.), food sensitivity testing, and so forth. Of course, we will still be performing the amazing BAX-Aura treatments, and BioImpedance body composition analysis without interruption. If you are unfamiliar with these services, I invite you to peruse my website for more info.

So I'm reminded again (painfully) that we can bend Mother Nature's rules, but we cannot break them. I want to apologize for my blatant stupidity, and the untimely break in services it is causing. I pledge that I will put all of my efforts into rehab and functional strengthening, and that I will do my best to be back at your service as soon as possible. Until then, if you call the office, I can offer some referral advice in the event that you require chiropractic care.

Yours in (slightly less than) vibrant health,
-- Dr. J
